Sliding glass doors of the types and sizes shown on our plans are called Series 300 Aluminum Sliding Glass Doors as manufactured by Metal-Craft Products Company.

MATERIALS: Aluminum Sliding Glass Doors are constructed of extruded aluminum of 6063-T5 alloy with a nominal wall thickness of not less than 0.062".  Component parts are of corrosion resistant material.

CONSTRUCTION:  All joints of the frame and panel sections are rigid and assembled in a manner that provides strong and watertight connections.  The sliding panel, when in a locked position, is not removable from the outside.  Both sliding and fixed panels are removable for glazing and maintenance.  Sliding vent panels are equipped with heavy duty ball bearing bottom-rolling type, normally dual tandem, with adjustable sheaves at each end to allow for proper alignment of the sliding vent with the frame.  Sheaves are adjustable without removing the sliding panel.

FINISH: Sliding door frame and vent member factory finishes include mill (unfinished), clear anodized, dark bronze anodized (almost black), white baked enamel, or walnut bronze baked enamel finish (dark olive brown).

WEATHER STRIPPING:  Our weather stripping is silicon treated woven polypropylene pile and/or "virgin" extruded vinyl.  All of our weather stripping is fungus, mildew and moth resistant.

HARDWARE:  Hardware is of contemporary design and constructed so as to incorporate a jam-proof manually operated latch.  All of our outside pulls and latches are easily adaptable for cylinder locks.

GLAZING:  The fixed and sliding panels are constructed to allow either shop or field glazing with vinyl glazing channel.  The glazing channel will be furnished with the door for 3/16", 1/4" or 5/8" glass as specified.  We do not ship glazed doors on common carriers, only K.D. doors.

INSTALLATION (by customer):  Sliding doors are installed in prepared openings according to manufacturer's recommendations, and all caulking must be sufficient to accomplish a thoroughly weather tight installation.  Door frames must be installed plumb, level and square to allow proper functioning in regard to sliding, locking and weathering.

GUARANTEE:  The sliding door and components as represented on these pages are guaranteed against defective material or workmanship for one year provided that the installation is in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and instructions.
